My Cielo Taqueria

My Cielo Taqueria is an authentic Mexican restaurant that emphasizes the freshest ingredients. A product of the pandemic, the concept was born in 2020 in Rochester, New Hampshire, after owners Carmen and Luis Garcia made it their mission to bring their passion for Mexican cuisine to the people of Rochester. The name “Cielo,” translating to ‘sky’ or ‘heaven’ in Spanish, sets the tone for this fan-favorite taqueria— most recently, My Cielo was voted #2 in the best tacos category in the state of New Hampshire. Later this year, the Garcias will bring their award-winning street tacos crafted with responsibly sourced, high-quality ingredients to their second location of My Cielo in Old North State Food Hall.

Carmen

Founder

My Cielo Taqueria was founded in Rochester, New Hampshire. My “Cielo” meaning “Heaven” in Spanish, was established in 2020 during the COVID-19  pandemic. The concept started when founder Carmen was in quarantine working from home as most Americans were at the time.  After being in lock down for more than 3 months, Carmen and her husband decided to take a drive to refocus their energy on anything other than COVID.  After taking the wrong turn they come across an ideal space where they could express their passion for true authentic Mexican cuisine.  Today My Cielo has been voted #2 in best Tacos in the state of New Hampshire. Carmen originally from NC, reached out to other business partners and decided to bring My Cielo Taqueria to NC and continue to expand.
